Iraks ledare nöjd med mötet i Stockholm.

Iraq's leader satisfied with the meeting in Stockholm.

-Mötet var en stor framgång.
Nu känner vi oss mer säkra på att vi kan ta Irak ur krisen.

"The meeting was a big success.
Now we feel more certain that we can take Iraq out of crisis."

Det sade Iraks premiärminister Nuri al-Maliki på torsdagskvällen.
Mötet i Upplands Väsby om Iraks framtid var slut och han var nöjd.

So said the Iraqi Prime Minister Nurl al-Maliki on Thursday Night.
The meeting in Väsby, Uppland on Iraq's future was finished and he was satisfied.

- Mötet nästa år ska vi ordna i Bagdad.
Det blir ett bevis på att vi har lyckats få ordning i vårt land, sade Nuri al-Maliki.

We will arrange the meeting next year in Baghdad.
It will be an proof that we have succeeded in obtaining order in our country, said Nur al-Maliki.

Under en dag förvandlades en del av Upplands Väsby till ett mini-FN.
Politiker och experter från omkring hundra länder samlades för att prata
om Iraks framtid.
Bland dem fanns FN-chefen Ban Ki-Moon och USAs utrikesminister Condoleezza Rice.
Inga saker bestämdes under mötet.
Men det var inte meningen.

For one day a part of Väsby was transformed into a mini UN.
Politicians and experts from around 100 countries assembled to talk about Iraq's future.
Among them was UN-chief Ban Ki-Moon and USA's Foreign Secretary Condoleeza Rice.
Nothing was decided during the meeting.
But that was not the intention.

- Det viktigaste var att vi träffades och pratade om Irak.
Och det var ett bra möte.
För första gången handlade mötet om framtiden.
Det är ett bevis för att arbetet i Irak går framåt, sade utrikesminister Carl Bildt.

"The most important thing was that we met and talked about Iraq.
And it was good meeting.
For the first time the meeting dealt with the future.
It is a proof that work in Iraq is moving forward," said Foreign Minister Carl Bildt.

Irak har stora skulder till andra länder.
Under mötet bad Nuri al-Maliki de andra länderna att hjälpa Irak med skulderna.

Äldre människor behandlas ofta på ett dåligt sätt. Personal som jobbar i vården och i hemtjänsten visar inte respekt för de gamla.

Han har gjort en stor undersökning om hur äldreomsorgen i Sverige fungerar.

He made an extensive research into how elderly-care in Sweden works.

Thorbjörn became disappointed with what he saw.
He writes that elderly people are treated with love and respect.

Det finns äldreboenden där de gamla behandlas som om de inte kunde tänka eller hade några känslor.
Gamla är ju också egna personer som gillar vissa saker och ogillar andra, säger Thorbjörn Larsson.

För en vecka sedan stoppades två män när de skulle in till sitt jobb på kärnkraftverket i Oskarshamn.
Vakter hittade spår av ett farligt sprängämne på den ena av mannens väskor.
Kärnkraftverket fick stängas av under en dag och männen förhördes av poliser.

A week ago two men were stopped when they were going in for work at the nuclear power plant in Oskarshamn.
Guards found traces of dangerous explosive substances in one the men's bags.

Näin äänestäjät tietävät, mistä poliitikot ovat saaneet rahaa vaalikampanjaansa. Presidentti kannattaa sitä, että esimerkiksi yritykset tukevat poliitikkojen vaalityötä. Kansanedustajan täytyy kuitenkin kertoa, että hän on saanut yritykseltä rahaa vaalityöhön. Halosen mielestä on hyvä että kansanedustajien vaalirahoista keskustellaan. Libanonissa on sovittu rauhasta. Libanonissa on ollut puoli toista vuotta levottumuuksia. Myanmar päästää ulkomaalaisia avustustyöntekijöitä maahan. Myanmar eli entinen Burma on päästänyt aikaisemmin vain muutaman ihmisen tuhoalueelle. Jägarna 2 may premiere in 2009

I was looking up the Internet for an article on Jägarna (Swedish film, see here). I found an article from 2006 which said there would be a sequel soon. However I couldn't find any reference to "Jagärna 2" anywhere else so I tought Kjell Sundvall (the director) must've changed his mind and the project got scrapped or something.

I found an 19 May 2007 article on Kuriren, a newspaper based in Norrbottens (where Jägarna was made) and where Lennart Jähkel is from, an article about "Jagärna 2". Go here if you know Swedish. Otherwise, I'm feeling good today and have translated it for you:

Jägarna may premiere in 2009

The ideas have been around for 11 years.
But now the plans for a sequel for Jägarna, Jägarna 2, have gone into an active phase.

"Kjell Sundvall and I was in Denmark last week to meet Danish script writers," says Peter Possne. "Danish script writers are so fantastic today, so we will try to do something new with them."

Jägarna 2 should, according to Possne, begin its production at the end of next year and in that case will be screened in the country's cinemas in 2009.

"Rolf Lassgård is going to get one of the big roles in the film," says Peter Possne.

Eleven years ago the film Jägarna, directed by Luleå's son Kjell Sundvall, was a big success with cinema-goers. The ideas for a sequel have been around for 11 years.

"But we won't be doing a sequel just for the sake of doing a sequel," says Peter Possne. "Now we're going to have a story on its own, a story that we will tell," he continues.

A completely different theme

"Jägarna 2 (if the film is going to be called so) is going to be made in Norrland," says Peter Possne, "but the theme is going to be completely different to that in the first film.

"Those who saw the first film are going to recognise the characters, but it's going to be quite good to see it without having seen the first one. It's going to be a dramatic thriller."

Peter Possne is unwilling to reveal if there are already plans about the location of the shootings. Last spring it was said that Gällivare commune had shown interests in becoming the main location for the production. The only thing that Possne says about the matter is: "The film is going to be shot in Norrland."

Filmpool interested

Per-Erik Svensson, MD for Filmpool Nord in Luleå, naturally has nothing against a sequel for Jägarna.

"We are immensely interested in continuing the collaboration with Peter Possne", says Svensson.

"And it's obvious that the film will be shot up here," he muses.

The news that Peter Possne and Kjell Sundvall has now been in Copenhagen means that for the most part that the same people who took part in Jägarna. (incorrect translation)

"Most of it comes from me," says Peter Possne. "It's my basic idea but Kjell has joined in the work."

Peter Possne says the premier for Jägarna 2 will be in 2000.

Diseases threaten Myanmar's hurricane victims

Avustusjärjestöt varoittavat, että taudit uhkaavat Myanmarissa myrskyalueella. Hirmumyrsky iski Myanmariin toukokuun alussa. Tuhoalueella ei ole tarpeeksi puhdasta vettä.
